Luxembourg relies on the EU procedure

In an answer to parliament, mobility minister Yuriko Backes classifies TAD as a driver-assistance system. Luxembourg took no part in the Dutch procedure and wants changes only through EU procedures. She announces no national recognition – but no rejection either.

Tesla Q3 earnings: Musk hopes for EU-wide approval by Q1 2027 at the latest

On the Q3 call, Elon Musk said he would be “surprised if it takes longer than Q1” – while stressing the timing is not Tesla’s to control. According to Tesla, more than 100,000 customers in Europe use the system, with over 160 million km since the first approval. The member states decide in the TCMV; a vote is seen as possible in December at the earliest.

Prague: Liftago offers taxi rides with Tesla Assisted Driving

Since 22 October, passengers in Prague can book the “Autodrive” category in the Liftago app: Teslas driving with TAD. A professional driver always sits at the wheel, supervises and is responsible as on any ride. It is a pilot for several weeks, Prague only for now; Brno is planned without a date. It builds on Czechia’s recognition of the RDW approval in September.
