German MEP Jan-Christoph Oetjen (FDP, transport committee) has sent the European Commission a written question on the status of the Article 39 procedure. Norway waits for the EU – and will follow an EU yes via the EEA
Transport minister Kamzy Gunaratnam told the Storting (Doc. 15:116): no national recognition, Norway waits for the EU decision. If the EU approves the system, Norway follows under the EEA Agreement. According to the Norwegian road authority, TAD handles normal traffic well; open points are speed limits and how quickly the driver can take over.
